When will Stranger Things season 5 start filming?
It’s already started! Red alert: Stranger Things will officially resume filming on January 8, 2024. Plus, Stranger Things season 5 is halfway through filming as of July 15, which is the eighth anniversary of its premiere. “We’re loving every moment,” Sadie Sink (who plays Max) says in the video. Jamie Campbell Bower, who plays Vecna, hints that “Season 4 was big” once again in his famous hair and makeup chair. It’s clear that Season 5 is big. Since Will returned to Hawkins in the Season 4 finale, Finn Wolfhard revealed that he is especially excited to film scenes with the “original four” – Will (played by Noah Schnapp), Lucas (played by Caleb McLaughlin), Dustin (played by Gaten Matarazzo) and Mike (played by Wolfhard). However, McLaughlin stressed that “like every season, you never know what to expect.”

That was the case for two very lucky superfans — Amy and Alicia — when they visited the soundstage where Season 5 was being recorded. According to Matarazzo, their extra-special set tour included stops in the props house, costume department, and… wait… the wine room. “It was stuff you don’t normally get to see,” he said. You know the room that houses 18 miles of vines for use in the Stranger Things show. Also, it’s interesting to note that many of them are made of pool noodles!
