McConaughey was not named, and he has been conspicuously absent from the last few series updates. Puck originally revealed Pfeiffer’s involvement in the film in February 2024, saying the actress was in talks to join the film.

Yellowstone’s spinoff, Madison, is reuniting its cast after months of inactivity. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Suits star Patrick J. Adams has committed to replace Pfeiffer in the lead role. Russell McIntosh, who is described as “following the life path laid out in front of him from the start,” will be played by Adams.
Ellie Chapman, best known for her roles in Florida Wild and A Man Called Otto, is making her television debut in the series as Peggy McIntosh, a “somewhat self-centered woman who enjoys the luxurious New York lifestyle provided by her parents and investment banker husband.” Chapman has also appeared in films. She is the daughter of Pfeiffer’s character and Russell’s wife.
Firefly Path playmate Garrett has also been cast as Abigail Reese. Abigail is described as a “resilient and sarcastic New Yorker,” despite the fact that she doesn’t appear to be a member of the Mackintosh family. Rather, she’s a single mother who’s recently divorced. Abigail is Peggy’s sister and the character’s second daughter. Abigail’s older daughter will be played by Amiah Miller.

However, according to a Puck report from February 2024, Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, and Luke Grimes from Yellowstone could appear in the spinoff. Reilly and Grimes play Casey and Beth Dutton, and Hauser plays Beth’s husband Rip Wheeler. In order to return to the spinoff, the trio is looking for significant pay raises. Reilly and Hauser want $1.2 million and $1.25 million per episode, respectively. Grimes’ salary demand was not included. In a follow-up in March 2024, Puck said negotiations were still ongoing.
After Yellowstone Season 5A ends, it’s hard to imagine Reilly and Wes Bentley returning to the spinoff series, as Beth and Jamie Dutton, their characters, are openly thinking about killing each other due to their ongoing feud. Jamie is John Dutton’s adopted son and Beth is his daughter, but their goals are very different. By seeking to oust his father as governor of Montana, Jamie has already gone against the family. Yellowstone season 6: However, before working on the spinoff, the Yellowstone cast will have to complete the final episodes of Season 5. However, the spinoff has many of Yellowstone’s main actors interested. Reilly said there have been discussions about their involvement in the spinoff.
In March 2024, Reilly told Collider, “I just want to finish [the main show] with as much care, as much passion, and as much love as I can put into it. That’s what matters to me. I’m getting ready for it right now, and that’s the most important thing in my tunnel vision. And what happens after that? You know there are arguments. Try not to accept everything you read. It’s just absurd. But we’ll just have to wait and see, you know? I don’t have a response currently. We’ll see, though.”
Hauser also felt the same way about the spinoff. His goal is to finish Yellowstone’s fifth season. But Hauser said Rip, Beth, and other important characters could appear in different ways in the spinoff.
